CompositionOmepraz D Capsule is used to treat persistent acidity and a burning sensation in the stomach and chest, including acid reflux accompanied by nausea or a heavy feeling after eating even a small amount of food. It combines omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that lowers stomach acid, with domperidone, which helps improve stomach emptying.
Take this capsule as prescribed, generally before breakfast, swallowed whole with water. Take it as prescribed and at the same time each day as advised; do not stop it on your own even if you feel better, unless your doctor advises this.
Avoiding coffee, spicy food and large meals late at night can help reduce acid production alongside this medicine. Sitting upright for a while after eating and avoiding tight clothing around the waist may also ease reflux symptoms.
Inform your doctor if you have a history of kidney disease before starting this capsule. Report persistent stomach pain, black or bloody stools, or unexplained weight loss to your doctor, as these symptoms may need further evaluation.
