• Sorbitol (2 gm): Serving as a sugar alcohol, sorbitol not only sweetens and thickens the syrup base but also acts as an osmotic laxative. It brings water into the large intestine which prompts bowel movement this helps counter any constipation that may occur due to cyproheptadine.
