Nimugesic Tablet 10

Nimugesic Tablet 10 is used for managing pain from headaches and migraines, discomfort associated with toothache and dental procedures, musculoskeletal pain (e.g., osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis), dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation), post-operative pain, and fever caused by infections. This combination (Nimesulide + Paracetamol) provides dual-action analgesic and antipyretic relief.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• It is recommended to take this medicine with food or milk to prevent any gastric discomfort.

Nimugesic Tablet 10 contains two active components which work together:

• Nimesulide (100 mg): This component is a selective COX-2 inhibitor. It works by reducing inflammation and pain through inhibiting an enzyme named cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This enzyme produces prostaglandins, chemicals that cause inflammation in the body. By inhibiting COX-2 selectively, nimesulide relieves pain and inflammation with fewer gastrointestinal side effects.

• Paracetamol (500 mg): Known for its analgesic and antipyretic properties, paracetamol helps relieve pain and reduce fever. It inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system (CNS). Additionally, it appears to act on the serotonergic pathways that regulate body temperature.

• Keep Nimugesic Tablet 10 in a cool, dry place at room temperature.

• Avoid direct sunlight or moist environments to prevent the degradation of the medicine.

• Place the medicine out of sight and reach of children to avoid accidental consumption.

• Ensure you use the tablet before its expiry date for maximum efficacy.
