Mustone Tablet 10

MUSTONE Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of myasthenia gravis

• Managing muscle weakness and fatigue

• Improving nerve impulse transmission to muscles

• Treating paralytic ileus

• Stimulating intestinal muscle movement

• Managing postoperative urinary retention

• Helping patients urinate after surgery

• Enhancing bladder muscle function

• Increasing acetylcholine levels at neuromuscular junctions

• Reversing neuromuscular blockade

Follow these instructions while taking MUSTONE Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Follow your doctor's advice about when to take this medicine.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

MUSTONE Tablet 10 is taken orally.

MUSTONE Tablet 10 contains pyridostigmine (60 Mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Cholinesterase inhibition: Pyridostigmine blocks an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase, which normally breaks down a chemical messenger called acetylcholine in your body.

• Increased acetylcholine levels: By preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine, this medicine increases its concentration at the junction between nerves and muscles.

• Enhanced neuromuscular transmission: The higher levels of acetylcholine improve the communication between nerves and muscles, which helps strengthen muscle contractions.

• Improved muscle function: This action helps reduce muscle weakness and fatigue, which is particularly beneficial for people with myasthenia gravis.

• Store MUSTONE Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in its original container.

• Protect from direct light and moisture.

• Store in a safe place, out of reach of children.

• Do not use MUSTONE Tablet 10 after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you have myasthenia gravis, try eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day instead of three large ones to help manage fatigue and ensure better energy levels when taking MUSTONE Tablet 10.

• Plan activities requiring physical strength during peak medication times (typically 1-2 hours after taking pyridostigmine) to maximise muscle function and reduce weakness symptoms.
