MOK 5 MD TABLET 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antiepileptic medicines such as phenobarbital or phenytoin: Concurrent use may increase the breakdown of montelukast in the liver, reducing its blood levels and therapeutic effectiveness in controlling asthma or allergy symptoms.
• Rifamycin antibiotics such as rifampicin: Concomitant use may decrease montelukast concentration by enhancing liver enzyme activity, which may reduce its effectiveness in managing respiratory and allergic conditions.
• Corticosteroids such as prednisolone: Montelukast should not be used as a replacement for corticosteroids during acute asthma attacks. Any adjustment in corticosteroid therapy should only be made under medical supervision to avoid worsening asthma control.
• Lipid-lowering medicines such as gemfibrozil: Combined use may increase montelukast blood levels by affecting its metabolism, which may raise the risk of side effects such as headache, abdominal pain, or dizziness.

MOK 5 MD TABLET 10 may interact with diseases/conditions, including:

• Asthma: MOK 5 MD TABLET 10 is not intended for the relief of acute asthma attacks and should not replace rescue inhalers during sudden breathing difficulty.
• Neuropsychiatric disorders: Montelukast may rarely cause mood changes, anxiety, agitation, sleep disturbances, depression, or behavioural changes. Contact your doctor if such symptoms occur.

The daily dose of MOK 5 MD TABLET 10 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on the severity of the condition and individual response to treatment. Do not alter the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

An overdose of MOK 5 MD TABLET 10 may cause stomach pain, drowsiness, thirst, vomiting, headache, or hyperactivity. Seek medical attention if an overdose is suspected.

If you miss a dose of MOK 5 MD TABLET 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed one.
