Mixbiotic Ac Ear Drops 5ml are used in adults to treat infected and inflamed conditions of the outer ear canal and to relieve the discomfort associated with them.

Uses of Mixbiotic Ac Ear Drops 5ml are:

• Ear Infection Treatment: Treats bacterial and fungal infections of the outer ear canal.
• Inflammation Relief: Reduces ear canal inflammation, itching, and pain.
• Discharge Control: Helps control ear discharge and irritation and supports healing of the ear canal skin.

Follow these instructions while using Mixbiotic Ac Ear Drops 5ml:

• Wash your hands before and after use.
• Only clean the outer ear if your doctor advises; do not insert cotton swabs, fingers, or other objects into the ear canal.
• Tilt the head sideways or lie down with the affected ear facing upward.
• Instill the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal.
• Keep the head tilted for a few minutes to allow proper spread.
• Avoid touching the dropper tip to the ear or any surface.

Mixbiotic Ac Ear Drops 5ml contains the following components:

• Acetic acid (2%): This acidifies the ear canal, lowering its pH. Bacteria and fungi causing outer ear infections cannot thrive in acidic conditions, so acetic acid helps inhibit microbial growth and reduces moisture that supports infection.
• Beclometasone (0.025%): This is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and swelling in the ear canal. By suppressing immune overreaction in the ear, it helps relieve itching, irritation, and discomfort associated with infection.
• Clotrimazole (1%): An antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes. This disrupts fungal growth and helps eliminate fungi that may be causing or complicating the ear infection.
• Lidocaine / Lignocaine (2%): A local anaesthetic that temporarily blocks nerve signals in the ear canal, providing rapid relief from pain, burning, and discomfort while the underlying infection is being treated.
