Minirin Melt 120mcg Tablet 10

Minirin Melt 120mcg Tablet 10 is used for:

• Treatment of Central Diabetes Insipidus (CDI).
• Management of nocturnal enuresis in children over 6 years of age.
• Management of nocturia in adults.
• Evaluation of renal concentrating capacity in children above 3 years.

• Clean and dry your hands before handling the tablet to maintain hygiene and avoid contamination.
• Place the tablet under your tongue gently without crushing, chewing, or swallowing it.
• Allow the tablet to dissolve completely under your tongue. Do not eat or drink until it has fully dissolved.
• Follow the prescribed dosage and timing exactly as advised by your doctor. Do not alter the dose on your own.

Minirin Melt 120mcg Tablet 10 is meant to be taken sublingually.

Minirin Melt 120mcg Tablet 10 contains the following active ingredient:

• Desmopressin (120 Mcg): Desmopressin is a synthetic analogue of vasopressin. It acts by binding to V2 receptors in the kidneys, increasing water reabsorption and reducing urine output. This results in more concentrated urine and improved water balance. Desmopressin also stimulates the release of clotting factors, making it useful in certain bleeding disorders.

• Protect from heat and moisture.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.

• Restrict fluid intake as advised by your doctor to reduce the risk of water intoxication.
• Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks, as they may worsen frequent urination.
• Maintain a balanced diet with adequate sodium intake to reduce the risk of hyponatraemia.
• Establish a regular sleep routine if taking Minirin Melt 120mcg Tablet 10 for nocturia or bedwetting.
