Microbact 500 Tablet 5

Microbact-500 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing respiratory tract infections including pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infections, and certain ear infections

• Managing skin infections

• Managing sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea and chlamydia

• Dealing with some gastrointestinal infections

• Preventing infection with Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) in people with HIV/AIDS

Here's how you should take Microbact-500 Tablet:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.

• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.

• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Microbact-500 Tablet is taken orally.

Microbact-500 Tablet contains azithromycin (500 mg), which acts on the body through the following mechanisms:

• Binds to 50S Ribosomal Subunit: Azithromycin binds to a specific part of susceptible bacteria known as the 50S ribosomal subunit. This section plays a critical role in bacterial protein synthesis.

• Inhibits Bacterial Protein Synthesis: By binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, azithromycin disrupts bacterial protein synthesis. This action stops the growth and spread of bacteria in your body.

• Concentrates in Phagocytes and Fibroblasts: Azithromycin tends to accumulate in types of cells called phagocytes and fibroblasts. These cells are often found at sites of inflammation, suggesting that they could help deliver the medicine directly where it's needed most.

• Store Microbact-500 Tablet below 30°C in a dry place, away from sunlight and moisture.

• Do not expose it to direct heat.

• Always keep the product out of reach of children.

• Ensure to use the tablet before its expiry date.

• Include plenty of vitamin C-rich foods like oranges, lemons, and bell peppers in your diet. Vitamin C supports your immune system and may help you recover faster from bacterial infections.

• If you're managing a respiratory infection, avoid smoking or inhaling secondhand smoke as it can aggravate your symptoms and slow down recovery.
