Metopar Tablet is a combination medicine used to provide temporary relief from acute pain and manage symptoms associated with migraine attacks. It helps control throbbing headache pain while simultaneously addressing associated symptoms, allowing individuals to resume regular activities.
It combines paracetamol, a pain reliever, with metoclopramide, a prokinetic and antiemetic medicine that works to speed up gastric emptying. This dual action helps relieve pain and controls nausea and vomiting associated with migraine attacks. Metoclopramide also improves gastric emptying, which may enhance the absorption of paracetamol during a migraine attack.
The tablet is ideally taken before a meal or at the very onset of a migraine attack as directed by your doctor. It is intended for short-term relief during acute episodes and should not be used continuously for extended durations without direct medical guidance.
Before taking this medication, inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of stomach ulcers, liver or kidney disease, or any neurological conditions. Avoid consuming alcohol or driving or operating heavy machinery while on this treatment, as it may enhance drowsiness or cause mild coordination issues.
