Meladerm Tablet 30 interacts with the following medicines:

• Antibiotics: Medicines like doxycycline and ciprofloxacin can dangerously enhance your skin's sensitivity to light when taken with methoxsalen, increasing the risk of severe sunburn.

• Diuretics: Furosemide can increase photosensitivity when combined with Meladerm Tablet 30, potentially causing severe skin reactions.

• Antidiabetic medicines: Medicines such as metformin or gliclazide may have altered effectiveness when used alongside methoxsalen therapy.

• Phenothiazines: Medicines such as chlorpromazine or fluphenazine can amplify light sensitivity when taken with Meladerm Tablet 30.

• Herbal supplements: St. John's Wort can significantly increase photosensitivity when combined with methoxsalen, raising the risk of skin reactions.

Meladerm Tablet 30 interacts with certain foods containing natural psoralens.

• Celery: Contains natural psoralens that can increase your skin's sensitivity to light.

• Figs: May enhance photosensitivity when consumed during treatment.

• Limes: Can amplify the photosensitising effects of methoxsalen.

• Parsley: Contains compounds that may increase the risk of sunburn during treatment.

Meladerm Tablet 30 interacts with the following diseases:

• Photosensitivity disorders: Conditions like lupus erythematosus or porphyria cutanea tarda can worsen dramatically with methoxsalen therapy.

• Skin cancer history: Patients with previous melanoma or squamous cell carcinoma are at an increased risk of cancer recurrence with this medicine.

• Eye conditions: Aphakia (absence of eye lens) increases the risk of retinal damage from this photosensitizing medicine.

• Cardiac conditions: High blood pressure or heart problems may worsen as methoxsalen can affect blood pressure.

The daily dose of Meladerm Tablet 30 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Your dosage may vary based on your body weight, skin type, condition severity, and how you respond to treatment. Never adjust your dose without consulting your doctor.

An overdose of Meladerm Tablet 30 may cause severe nausea, dizziness, and extreme skin sensitivity. You might also experience intense redness, blistering, or swelling after light exposure. Contact your doctor if you suspect an overdose has occurred.

If you forget to take Meladerm Tablet 30, take it as soon as you remember, but only if your scheduled UV light therapy hasn't happened yet. Otherwise, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.
