Masradom Capsule 10

Masradom Capsule 10 is primarily used to treat:

• Managing symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease, where stomach acid backs up into the esophagus, causing discomfort
• Relieving heartburn resulting from excess stomach acid
• Alleviating chest pain linked to gastroesophageal reflux disease
• Reducing nausea associated with acid reflux
• Healing esophageal damage caused by acid reflux
• Preventing further esophageal injury from stomach acid

• Swallow the entire capsule without crushing or breaking it. 
• It’s best to take this medicine about 30 minutes before having food.

Masradom Capsule 10 is taken orally. 

Masradom Capsule 10 contains the following components:

• Domperidone (30 mg): Domperidone, a dopamine antagonist with antiemetic effects, has limited ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. While extrapyramidal side effects are very rare in adults, domperidone does stimulate prolactin release from the pituitary gland. Its antiemetic action likely results from a combination of peripheral (gastrokinetic) effects and dopamine receptor antagonism in the chemoreceptor trigger zone, located outside the blood-brain barrier in the area postrema.
• Rabeprazole (20 mg): Rabeprazole, an antisecretory agent and a substituted benzimidazole, functions as a proton pump inhibitor without anticholinergic or H2-receptor antagonist properties. It reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+ and K+ ATPase enzymes on the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. This enzyme acts as the acid (proton) pump in parietal cells, making rabeprazole an effective gastric proton pump inhibitor by blocking the final stage of acid production.

The storage instructions for Masradom Capsule 10 are as follows:

• Masradom Capsule 10 should be stored at room temperature, at 25°C.
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid sitting for long stretches; take short breaks every hour to walk or stretch and help prevent acidity. 
• Limit foods high in fat, spicy dishes, chocolates, citrus fruits, pineapple, tomatoes, onions, garlic, tea, and soda. 
• Practice relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation to manage stress, as it can worsen acid reflux. Opt for loose clothing to reduce abdominal pressure and the risk of reflux. 
• Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Regular exercise can help with weight management, lowering the risk of acid reflux. 
• Also, steer clear of smoking and alcohol, which can raise stomach acid levels and cause heartburn.
