M Droxil 500 Mg Tablet 10 is used to treat bacterial infections, particularly those affecting the throat, ears, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues.
It belongs to the first-generation cephalosporin class of antibiotics, which works against susceptible bacteria but is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu. Take the tablet as prescribed, with or without food, and complete the full course to ensure the infection is fully cleared.
Drink plenty of fluids during treatment to support your body while it fights the infection, and try to take the tablet around the same time each day.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any allergy to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, or kidney problems. Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, and seek immediate medical help if you notice a skin rash, swelling or difficulty breathing.
