CompositionLupicef-O 200 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ears, throat and tonsils, including bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis. It is also used for typhoid fever and gonorrhoea. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.
It contains cefixime, a cephalosporin, and ofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone. Together they stop bacteria building their cell wall and prevent them copying their DNA, which clears the infection.
Take it exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you feel better early.
