LEVEXX SYRUP 100ML is used to control different types of seizure in adults and children over one month of age, including partial-onset, myoclonic, and primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures. It can be used on its own for newly diagnosed epilepsy or added to other anti-seizure medicines, and supports long-term control of chronic epilepsy.

Primary Uses of Livogrid Solution are:

• Partial-onset and Generalised Seizures: Helps control partial-onset, myoclonic, and tonic-clonic seizures, including juvenile myoclonic epilepsy.

• Add-on or Standalone Therapy: Used alone for newly diagnosed epilepsy or alongside other anti-seizure medicines.

• Long-term Seizure Control: Supports ongoing management of chronic epilepsy and helps prevent seizures from spreading.

Follow these instructions while taking LEVEXX SYRUP 100ML:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Use the measuring cup provided to measure the correct dose.

• Take this medicine with or without food at the same time each day.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

• This medicine needs to be taken regularly for best results.

LEVEXX SYRUP 100ML contains levetiracetam (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Synaptic vesicle protein binding: Levetiracetam attaches to a specific protein called SV2A (synaptic vesicle protein 2A) in your brain cells, which helps regulate the release of chemical messengers between nerve cells.

• Neurotransmitter modulation: By binding to SV2A, this medicine helps stabilise the release of neurotransmitters (chemical messengers) in your brain, preventing the excessive electrical activity that causes seizures.

• Brain signal stabilisation: Levetiracetam works by slowing down abnormal electrical signals in your brain that trigger seizures, helping to maintain normal brain function.

• Seizure threshold elevation: The medicine increases the threshold at which seizures can occur, making it less likely for your brain to experience the uncontrolled electrical activity that leads to epileptic episodes.

• Store this solution at a controlled room temperature between 20-25°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
