LAMITOR MT 100 MG Tablet 10 is used to manage epilepsy and different types of seizures, including those linked to Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, in adults and children. It is also used to help stabilise mood in adults with bipolar I disorder.
It contains lamotrigine, an anticonvulsant that helps stabilise electrical activity in the brain to prevent abnormal nerve impulses that cause seizures. Take it by mouth as prescribed, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures or a return of mood symptoms.
Getting enough sleep, avoiding known seizure triggers, and keeping a diary of seizures or mood changes to share with your doctor help support treatment with this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, before starting this medicine. Report any skin rash straight away, as this can rarely be serious, along with new or worsening mood changes, thoughts of self-harm, blurred vision or unusual drowsiness.
