LAMICTAL 100 MG TABLET DT 14 is used to control partial-onset and generalised tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children with epilepsy, and as maintenance treatment in bipolar I disorder to help delay mood episodes.
It contains lamotrigine in a dispersible tablet form. Take it as prescribed; do not stop it suddenly without medical advice. The dose must be built up gradually to reduce the risk of serious skin reactions.
A regular routine with good sleep, taking doses on time and avoiding alcohol support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems before starting, and about all other medicines you take, especially valproate (which significantly raises lamotrigine levels) and hormonal contraceptives (which reduce lamotrigine levels). Report any skin rash immediately, as it may be an early sign of a serious skin reaction (Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
