CompositionItrasys CF-200 Capsule is used to manage fungal infections across the body. It contains itraconazole, an azole antifungal that is effective against yeast and fungal infections of the skin, nails, hands and feet, oral thrush, and oesophageal candidiasis.
Itraconazole works by damaging the cell membrane of fungi, stopping their growth and eventually killing them, which clears the infection over the course of treatment.
Take this capsule with a full meal, as food helps the body absorb the medicine properly. Complete the full course exactly as prescribed, even if symptoms improve early, since stopping too soon can allow the infection to return.
Tell your doctor if you have liver disease or heart failure, as itraconazole can affect both and is not usually suitable in these conditions. Avoid it in pregnancy, and check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking other medicines, since itraconazole interacts with many common medicines.
