To use Itaspor Capsule correctly:

Itaspor Capsule is taken orally.

Itaspor Capsule may lead to headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, rash, dizziness, and fatigue.

Itaspor Capsule contains itraconazole (100mg) which works on your body in the following ways:

Inhibits Fungal Enzyme: Itraconazole blocks an enzyme called 14α-demethylase within the fungi. This enzyme is crucial because it helps convert one substance called lanosterol into another substance called ergosterol.
Disrupts Fungal Cell Membranes: Ergosterol is a key part of the cell membranes of fungi. So, when itraconazole stops the production of ergosterol, it affects the structure and function of these cell membranes.
Kills Fungi: Over time, this disruption caused by itraconazole leads to the death of the fungi, effectively managing your fungal infection.

Pregnancy

If you're expecting, caution is advised while taking Itaspor Capsule. It's best to consult your doctor before starting this medication.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding women should avoid taking Itaspor Capsule. Please discuss this with your doctor to understand the potential risks and benefits.

Alcohol

CYP3A4 inhibitors: Medicines like erythromycin, clarithromycin or ritonavir can increase the levels of itraconazole in your body.
CYP3A4 substrates: Medicines like alprazolam, amlodipine or statins might have their levels increased when taken with Itaspor Capsule.
Medicines that prolong QT interval: The risk of arrhythmias may be increased when medicines like quinidine, dofetilide or pimozide are taken with Itaspor Capsule.

Itaspor Capsule interacts with the following diseases:

Heart Disease: Patients with ventricular dysfunction or a history of heart failure may experience worsening symptoms with Itaspor Capsule.
Liver Disease: The medicine may increase the risk of liver toxicity in individuals with existing liver disease.
Kidney Disease: Patients with kidney disease should use caution due to potential changes in medicine effectiveness or side effects.

Daily Dose
