Composition

Metformin (500 Mg) + Sitagliptin (100 Mg)

Istamet XR 500 Tablet is used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults, controlling blood sugar through two different actions. Better control lowers the long-term risk of kidney, nerve and heart damage.

It contains a DPP-4 inhibitor, which helps the body release more insulin after meals, and metformin, which reduces the glucose the liver makes. The extended-release form may ease stomach side effects.

Take it with the evening meal as prescribed, and continue it regularly.

Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, a history of pancreatitis, or regular alcohol use before use. Tell your doctor if you are unwell with vomiting or dehydration, as the metformin part may need pausing.

Pregnancy
