It contains methylprednisolone, a corticosteroid. It works by reducing inflammation and calming the immune response.
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually with food or milk. Do not stop it suddenly, especially after longer use, as the dose usually needs to be reduced gradually.
Tell your doctor about any infection, diabetes, high blood pressure or stomach ulcers before use. Avoid contact with people who have chickenpox or measles if you have not had them. Long-term use can affect blood sugar, bone strength and blood pressure.
