Ibset Tablet 15

IBset Tablet is used to manage symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) such as abdominal pain, bloating, and changes in bowel habits. It also helps treat postoperative nausea and vomiting and manages nausea caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The tablet provides effective relief from these symptoms, making it easier for patients to feel comfortable during treatments.

Here's how you should take IBset Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush it.
• Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has prescribed.
• Don't change the dosage or stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor.

IBset Tablet is taken orally.

IBset Tablet contains ramosetron (5 mcg) and works on the body as follows:

• Blocks serotonin receptors: Ramosetron works by blocking the action of serotonin (a neurotransmitter) on the nerves of the intestines. This reduces the nerve signals that cause pain and other IBS symptoms.
• Reduces gut activity: By blocking these serotonin receptors, Ramosetron effectively slows down the activity in your gut. This helps manage symptoms like diarrhoea and abdominal pain associated with IBS.

• Store your IBset Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.
• Keep it in a closed container, away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
• Avoid exposing the medicine to high humidity or water.
• Keep it securely out of reach of children.
• Use the medicine before its expiration date.

• Given that this medicine is taken to manage diarrhoea, it would be beneficial if you increased your intake of fluids. This could help replenish the water lost during bouts of diarrhoea.
• Include foods rich in potassium in your diet, such as bananas and oranges. These can help balance the electrolytes in your body, which might be disrupted due to diarrhoea.
