Flucona-150 Tablet is used for the management of the following conditions:

• Fungal infections in the mouth and throat, known as oral thrush.

• Vaginal yeast infections, medically termed as vaginal candidiasis.

• Fungal infections affecting the fingernails and toenails, referred to as onychomycosis.

• Other fungal infections affecting various parts of the body.

It's important to use the Flucona-150 Tablet correctly. Follow these guidelines:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet.

• Always take Flucona-150 Tablet at the same time each day to keep consistent levels of fluconazole in your body.

• Remember not to discontinue this medicine without consulting your doctor first, even if you feel better after a few days.

• Do not take more than the recommended dose without your doctor's advice.

Flucona-150 Tablet is taken orally.

Flucona-150 Tablet contains fluconazole (150 mg) which acts on the body as mentioned below:

• Inhibits Ergosterol Synthesis: Fluconazole, an azole class antifungal agent, works by blocking the production of ergosterol. Ergosterol is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane.

• Kills Fungi: By disrupting ergosterol synthesis, fluconazole damages the fungal cell membrane. This leads to the death of the fungus and prevents further growth and spread.

• Keep your Flucona-150 Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays between 15-30°C.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure that it is out of reach and sight of children.

• When dealing with fungal infections, maintaining good personal hygiene can help manage the condition. This includes properly drying your body after bathing, especially areas like the mouth, throat, and genitals where fungal infections often occur.

• Wearing loose, breathable clothing can also help by reducing areas of high moisture and warmth where fungi thrive. Choose materials such as cotton for your undergarments.
