CompositionFiasp Penfill Cartridge is a fast-acting insulin used to control blood sugar at mealtimes in adults and children aged two and above with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
It contains insulin aspart, a rapid-acting insulin. It works by moving sugar from the blood into the cells, and it starts to act quickly, so it is taken around mealtimes.
Inject it under the skin as prescribed, at the start of a meal or soon after, rotating the injection site each time. Do not stop it without medical advice, and never miss doses.
Watch for low blood sugar, especially if a meal is missed or delayed, and keep a sugary snack to hand. Tell your doctor about all other medicines, as many affect how much insulin you need.
