CompositionEzzicad 10mg Tablet 10 is used to lower high cholesterol, mainly LDL ("bad") cholesterol, helping to reduce fatty build-up in the arteries and the risk of heart disease, heart attack and stroke. It is often used alongside a low-fat diet or with a statin for added benefit.
It contains ezetimibe, which belongs to a group of medicines called cholesterol absorption inhibitors. It works in the small intestine to block the absorption of cholesterol from food and bile. Take it daily, at any time of day, with or without food.
A diet low in saturated fat, regular physical activity, keeping to a healthy weight and quitting smoking support better cholesterol levels alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver problems before starting, and about other medicines you take, including any statin. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
