Infants (over 1 month of age):
- Give 1–2 ml (25–50 drops), which corresponds to 40–80 mg of Simethicone daily.
- Divide the total dose into 2–4 doses: 2 times a day (13–25 drops) or 4 times a day (6–13 drops).
Children (1–6 years of age):
- Give 1 ml (25 drops, equivalent to 40 mg Simethicone), 3–5 times daily.
Children (6–14 years of age):
- Give 1–2 ml (25–50 drops, equivalent to 40–80 mg Simethicone), 3–5 times daily.
Adolescents and Adults:
- Give 2 ml (50 drops or 1 dose from dosing pump, equivalent to 80 mg Simethicone), 3–5 times daily.
For Radiological and Ultrasound Examinations:
- Give 2 ml (50 drops or 1 dose from dosing pump) 3 times on the day before the test.
- Give 2 ml in the morning on the day of the test on an empty stomach.
As an Excipient with Contrast Agent Suspension:
- Use 4–8 ml (100–200 drops or 2–4 doses from dosing pump) per 1 litre of contrast fluid for double-contrast imaging.
For Endoscopic Examination of Upper GI Tract (Gastroscopy):
- Give 4–8 ml (100–200 drops or 2–4 doses) before endoscopy.
- Additional emulsion can be poured through the endoscope to reduce foaming during the examination.
As an Antidote for Detergent (Surfactant) Poisoning:
- Adults: Give 10-20 ml (5-10 doses from dosing pump), depending on severity.
- Children: Give 2.5-10 ml (up to 5 doses from dosing pump), depending on severity.
- Seek medical attention immediately after first aid administration.
