CompositionEpima Chrono 500 Mg Tablet 10 is used to control and prevent epileptic seizures. It contains valproate, an anti-epileptic and mood-stabilising medicine.
This medicine is also used to manage manic episodes in bipolar disorder and to prevent migraine headaches in adults. Take it with food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures.
Routine blood tests to monitor valproate levels and check liver function are important during treatment; keep all monitoring appointments as advised by your doctor.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver problems, and about all other medicines you take, as valproate has many drug interactions. This medicine must not be used in pregnancy unless there is no other option, as it carries a serious risk of birth defects; women who could become pregnant must use effective contraception.
