EPILEPTAL 300 MG Tablet 10 is used to control and prevent partial seizures in adults and children with epilepsy, on its own or alongside other anti-epileptic medicines. It is also used to manage the severe facial pain of trigeminal neuralgia.
It contains oxcarbazepine (300 mg), an anti-epileptic medicine. Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same times each day, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as this can trigger seizures.
A regular routine with good sleep, taking doses on time and avoiding alcohol support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, low sodium levels or heart problems before starting, and about other medicines you take, especially hormonal contraceptives (effectiveness may be reduced). Report dizziness, confusion or unusual tiredness, or a skin rash at any stage.
