Enalapril (10 Mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (25 Mg)

Enapril-HT Tablet is used for the following:

Management of high blood pressure or hypertension in adults
It can be paired with other medications to manage hypertension more effectively

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid taking more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

Enapril-HT Tablet may have the following common side effects:

Dizziness
Headache
Fatigue
Cough
Muscle cramps and weakness

Rash, pruritus: These terms refer to skin reactions. Rash is a noticeable change in the texture or colour of your skin, while pruritus means itchiness.

Antidiabetic agents: The hydrochlorothiazide component in Enapril-HT Tablet could affect your body's sugar control, potentially requiring a dose adjustment of insulin or oral hypoglycaemic agents.

Drug-Disease Interactions

Enapril-HT Tablet interacts with the following diseases:

Hypotension: Enalapril, one of the components of Enapril-HT Tablet, might cause excessive low blood pressure, particularly in individuals with heart failure or renal artery stenosis.
Renal Impairment: Hydrochlorothiazide could worsen azotemia (raised level of urea in blood) in patients with kidney disease.
Electrolyte Imbalance: Hydrochlorothiazide might lead to imbalances such as low potassium levels (hypokalaemia), low sodium levels (hyponatremia), and an imbalance in acid-base resulting in abnormally high blood pH (hypochloraemic alkalosis).
Liver Disease: Caution is advised when using Enapril-HT Tablet if you have impaired liver function or progressive liver disease, as hydrochlorothiazide might not be metabolised effectively.
