CompositionDucira Eye Gel is a lubricating eye gel used to manage dry eye syndrome by providing long-lasting lubrication and moisture to the surface of the eye. It is a lubricant eye gel containing hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), which holds moisture on the eye surface. Sodium perborate is a preservative in the formulation and is not an active therapeutic ingredient.
This medicine works by forming a protective film over the front of the eye that helps prevent moisture loss and reduces irritation, burning and the feeling of something in the eye. It is especially helpful for dryness caused by ageing, long screen use, contact lenses, environmental exposure or after eye surgery, and helps keep the tear film stable. Wash your hands before use, avoid touching the tip to your eye or any surface, and use the dose and duration your doctor prescribes.
Taking regular breaks from screens, blinking often, and avoiding smoky, dusty or air-conditioned air can help reduce dry eye symptoms alongside this treatment.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you wear contact lenses (remove them before applying and wait before putting them back in), have an eye infection or other eye condition, or use other eye medicines, and wait at least 5 minutes between different eye products. Seek medical help if you notice itching, redness, swelling or an allergic reaction, or if your eye symptoms get worse.
