DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Uses of DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML are:

• Open-Angle Glaucoma: Helps manage open-angle glaucoma by lowering pressure inside the eye.
• Ocular Hypertension: Helps control raised eye pressure.
• Protecting Vision: Helps prevent optic nerve damage caused by high eye pressure.

Follow these instructions while using DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before instiling the drops.

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Tilt your head back slightly and pull down your lower eyelid.

• Hold the dropper above your eye and place one drop in the affected eye.

• Close your eyes gently for 1-2 minutes to allow the medicine to spread.

• Wait at least 5 minutes before using any other eye drops.

• Remove contact lenses before instiling and wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.

• Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination.

DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML are instiled topically.

DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML contain three active ingredients:

• Dorzolamide (2%): Acts as a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that blocks the enzyme carbonic anhydrase II in the ciliary epithelium of your eye. This reduces the production of aqueous humor (eye fluid), which helps lower the pressure inside your eye.

• Timolol (0.5%): Functions as a non-selective beta-blocker that decreases the production of aqueous humor in the ciliary epithelium. It also improves the outflow of fluid through the trabecular meshwork (drainage system) in your eye, further reducing intraocular pressure.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): Serves as a preservative in the eye drop formulation. It helps prevent bacterial contamination of the solution, ensuring the medicine remains safe and effective throughout its use.

• Store DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML in a cool, dry place.

• Protect the bottle from direct sunlight and heat.

• Keep the container tightly closed when not in use.

• Store all medicines out of reach of children.

• Do not use DOZOLAMIDE T EYE DROPS 5ML after the expiry date printed on the bottle.

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Maintain a healthy blood pressure through regular exercise and reducing salt intake, as high blood pressure can worsen conditions like glaucoma and ocular hypertension.
