Divaa OD 250 Tablet is used to treat epilepsy, stabilise mood in bipolar disorder and help prevent migraine. It is a single-ingredient anticonvulsant medicine containing divalproex sodium (a form of valproate).
It helps control seizures, reduce mood swings and lower how often migraines occur. Swallow the tablet whole, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can trigger seizures or mood changes.
Getting enough sleep, avoiding alcohol and keeping to regular meal and medicine timings can help reduce the chance of seizures and mood swings.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have liver or pancreas problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby, so it must not be used in pregnancy unless there is no alternative, and reliable contraception is needed; discuss this with your doctor. Report severe abdominal pain or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
