Diclolab Injection 3Ml

Diclolab Injection 3ml is used for the short-term relief of severe pain and inflammation, including renal and biliary colic, migraine, post-operative and post-traumatic pain, and flare-ups of arthritis, gout and dysmenorrhoea.

Uses of Diclolab Injection 3ml are:

• Renal and Biliary Colic: Relieves severe pain from kidney stones and gallbladder colic.
• Post-Operative and Post-Traumatic Pain: Manages pain after surgery or injury.
• Arthritis and Gout Flare-Ups: Eases pain and inflammation during flare-ups of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout and ankylosing spondylitis.
• Migraine and Dysmenorrhoea: Provides short-term relief from severe headaches and painful periods.

• This medicine is to be administered by a healthcare professional only.

• It can be injected deep into the gluteal muscle (in the buttock area), under the skin (subcutaneously), or directly into a vein (intravenously).

Diclolab Injection 3ml is administered either intravenously, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously.

Diclolab Injection 3ml contains Diclofenac (25 mg), which has the following mechanism of action:

• Inhibition of Prostaglandin Synthesis: Diclofenac blocks cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes. These enzymes are responsible for creating prostaglandins - lipid compounds that mediate pain, inflammation and fever.

• Analgesic Effect: By reducing prostaglandin synthesis, diclofenac effectively decreases pain signals at sites of injury or inflammation.

• Anti-Inflammatory Effect: The reduction in prostaglandin synthesis also decreases capillary dilation and permeability at inflamed sites.

• Antipyretic Effect: Diclofenac can help manage fever symptoms by inhibiting the production of fever-inducing prostaglandins.

• Keep it away from light to prevent degradation.

• Do not refrigerate or freeze the medicine, as extreme temperatures can affect its potency.
