Desmine M Tablet is used to manage allergic rhinitis and other upper respiratory allergies. It combines desloratadine, an antihistamine, with montelukast, which blocks a different allergy-related pathway, together giving relief from sneezing, a runny nose, nasal congestion and itchy eyes or throat.
This tablet should be taken as prescribed, usually in the evening. Take it as prescribed by your doctor; regular, consistent use is important for maintaining long-term control over allergy symptoms rather than using it only when symptoms flare up.
Reducing exposure to known triggers, such as dust mites, pet dander and pollen, can help lower how often symptoms occur alongside this medicine. Using a humidifier or air purifier at home may also ease nasal congestion for some people.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of asthma or liver disease, or if you are taking other medicines, before starting this tablet. Contact your doctor if you notice any new mood changes, unusual dreams, or worsening of breathing symptoms while on treatment.
