Delpocalm Oral Drops are used under paediatric supervision to relieve colicky abdominal pain, intestinal spasms and gas in children aged 6 months and older. They must not be given to infants younger than 6 months.
They contain dicyclomine and simethicone. Dicyclomine relaxes intestinal smooth muscle, while simethicone helps gas bubbles combine so they pass more easily. Give only the dose prescribed by the child's doctor.
Gently massaging the infant's belly in a clockwise motion, keeping the baby upright during feeding, and burping properly after feeding can help reduce gas accumulation and ease colic symptoms.
Use this medicine only under medical supervision. Do not give it to an infant younger than 6 months. Seek urgent medical help for unusual sleepiness, breathing difficulty, persistent vomiting, fever or worsening abdominal symptoms.
