DECOMEDO GEL 25GM is used for the targeted topical treatment of inflammatory acne lesions and to control acne-causing bacterial spread across affected facial or body surfaces in adults.

Uses of DECOMEDO GEL 25GM are:

• Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5%): This ingredient acts as a keratolytic agent which means it promotes skin turnover and opens clogged pores. It also has antimicrobial properties which help in reducing bacterial count by releasing free-radical oxygen.
• Clindamycin (1%): This is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of the bacteria responsible for causing acne - Propionibacterium acnes. It does so by binding to a part of these bacteria called the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, subsequently inhibiting early stages of protein synthesis.
