Dapauz M Tablet 10 is used to help control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes, alongside diet and exercise, when a single medicine is not enough, and to reduce the risk of hospitalisation for heart failure in people with cardiovascular risk factors.

Uses of Dapauz M Tablet 10 are:

• Type 2 Diabetes: Helps control blood sugar when a single medicine is not enough.
• Heart Failure Risk: Helps reduce the risk of hospital admission for heart failure.
• Combination Action: Removes excess sugar in the urine and improves the body's use of insulin.

• Take this tablet daily with meals.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.
• Maintain good fluid intake throughout the day while taking this medicine.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Dapauz M Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Dapauz M Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (5 mg): This component works by inhibiting sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) in your kidneys. SGLT2 is a protein that helps your body reabsorb glucose from your urine back into your bloodstream. By blocking this protein, dapagliflozin causes more glucose to be removed from your body through urine, lowering your blood sugar levels.
• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide medication, metformin works in three main ways to control blood sugar. It decreases glucose production in your liver, reduces glucose absorption from your intestines, and improves how your body responds to insulin, helping your cells take up glucose more effectively from your bloodstream.
