CompositionCPM Tablet is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose, itching, watery eyes, skin rashes and throat irritation. It is used for allergic rhinitis, hay fever, cold-related allergies and allergic skin reactions.
It contains chlorpheniramine, an antihistamine that blocks histamine to reduce allergy symptoms. Take it as directed by your doctor; it may be taken with food if it causes stomach discomfort. It can cause drowsiness, so it is preferably taken in the evening or at bedtime where possible. Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Avoiding known triggers such as pollen, dust and pet hair where possible, and keeping your home well ventilated and dust-free, can help reduce allergic symptoms alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have an enlarged prostate, difficulty passing urine, glaucoma or a history of seizures, as chlorpheniramine may worsen these conditions. Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it increases drowsiness, and do not drive or operate machinery after taking it. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before use.
