CompositionCLID 300 Capsule is used to treat serious bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, abdomen and female reproductive system. It contains clindamycin, an antibiotic, and is also used for dental infections and bone and joint infections where other antibiotics are not suitable.
Clindamycin works by stopping bacteria from producing the proteins they need to grow and multiply, which clears the infection, and it is particularly useful against certain bacteria not covered by other common antibiotics.
Take this capsule with a full glass of water, exactly as your doctor prescribes, and complete the full course even if you feel better early.
Report persistent or severe loose motions (diarrhoea) promptly, even weeks after finishing treatment, as clindamycin carries a higher risk of a serious antibiotic-related bowel condition than many other antibiotics. Tell your doctor if you have a known allergy to clindamycin or lincomycin.
