CompositionClincin 300 Capsule is used to treat serious bacterial infections of the skin, soft tissues, bones, joints, chest, teeth and female reproductive organs. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing clindamycin 300mg, which belongs to a class of antibiotics called lincosamides.
This medicine is especially useful against certain bacteria that grow in deep tissues and in people who cannot take penicillin. Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water, while sitting or standing, to avoid irritation of the food pipe. Complete the full course prescribed by your doctor.
Resting, drinking enough fluids and keeping wounds clean support recovery. Good oral hygiene helps healing in dental infections.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of colitis or other bowel problems, liver or kidney disease, or allergies, and about other medicines you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor straight away if you develop severe, watery or bloody diarrhoea during or up to several weeks after treatment, as this can be a sign of a serious bowel infection. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
