• DNA damage in cancer cells

• Triggering cancer cell death

• Management of advanced-stage cancers

• This medicine must only be administered by a trained medical professional.

• The injection is given through a vein (into your bloodstream).

• You should drink plenty of water before and after receiving this medicine.

• Regular blood tests will be needed to check your kidney function.

• Your hearing may be tested before and during treatment.

• Report any unusual symptoms to your doctor immediately.

Cis Dna 50 MG Injection 1 is administered intravenously.

Cis Dna 50 MG Injection 1 contains cisplatin (50 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• DNA Crosslinking: Cisplatin forms cross-links between DNA strands in cancer cells, distorting the DNA structure and preventing it from functioning properly.

• Interference with Cell Replication: By damaging the DNA, cisplatin prevents cancer cells from replicating their genetic material, which is necessary for cell division and growth.

• Apoptosis Activation: The DNA damage caused by cisplatin triggers a process called apoptosis, which is a form of programmed cell death. This leads to the destruction of affected cancer cells.

• Selective Targeting: Cisplatin primarily affects rapidly dividing cells, such as cancer cells, which makes it effective at targeting tumours while allowing slower-dividing healthy cells to recover.
