Ciprobid TZ Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections

• Complicated urinary tract infections

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Gastrointestinal infections like amoebiasis and giardiasis

• Gynecological infections

• Prevention of infection during surgery

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• The tablet can be taken with or without food, as per your comfort.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Avoid exceeding the recommended dose unless advised by your doctor.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Ciprobid TZ Tablet is taken orally.

Ciprobid TZ Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Ciprofloxacin (500 mg): As a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, ciprofloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes. These enzymes are crucial for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By inhibiting these enzymes, it disrupts bacterial cell division leading to cell death.

• Tinidazole (600 mg): Classified as a nitroimidazole antibiotic, tinidazole is a pro-compound that becomes active once it enters the bacterial or protozoal cell. This active form disrupts the DNA of target organisms, leading to their cell death. It also inhibits nucleic acid synthesis by interfering with the DNA of microbial cells.
