Ceftum 500 Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, and ears. The medication works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which destroys the bacteria and resolves the infection. It is effective only against bacterial pathogens and should be taken as prescribed to prevent resistance.

• Ceftum 500 mg tablets should be taken as your doctor recommends.
• Swallow it as a whole with water after your meal to avoid stomach discomfort.
• Do not cut, break or chew the medicine. 
• For best results, take this medicine at a fixed time.
• It would be best if you consume what your doctor prescribes.

• Ceftum 500 mg tablet contains Cefuroxime axetil, an antibiotic that stops bacteria from growing and leads to bacterial death. It does this by interfering with a part of the bacteria's cell wall. This causes the bacteria to weaken and eventually break apart. 
• Cefuroxime axetil is converted to cefuroxime in the body, which is the active derivative of the drug. It is effective against many different types of bacteria, including those that lead to pneumonia, ear infections, and urinary tract infections.

• Store Ceftum 500 mg tablets at room temperature (15-25ºC).
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep tablets away from children.
• Do not use this tablet after the expiry date has passed.

• To maintain a healthy diet, consuming various fibre-rich foods, such as whole grains, legumes, berries, broccoli, peas, and bananas, is suggested.
• To support the beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, it is recommended to consume probiotic-rich foods such as buttermilk and yoghurt, especially during antibiotic treatment.
• Don't consume alcohol or smoke cigarettes.
• Caffeine-containing beverages like coffee, tea, and energy drinks should be used in moderation. Excessive caffeine intake can increase the likelihood of adverse effects like anxiety, restlessness, and irregular heartbeat.
