Ceft Ol 100/100 MG Tablet 10 is utilised for managing the following bacterial conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia and bronchitis

• Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis

• Urinary tract infections like cystitis and pyelonephritis

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Typhoid fever management

• Middle ear infection or otitis media

• Dental infection control

• Bone and joint infection management

• Intra-abdominal infection control

• Uncomplicated gonorrhoea management

• Have your child swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Ensure the tablet is not broken or chewed.

• If your child experiences stomach upset, giving the medicine with food can alleviate discomfort.

• Always adhere to the recommended dose and avoid exceeding it without consulting your child's doctor.

Ceft Ol 100/100 MG Tablet 10 is given orally.

Ceft Ol 100/100 MG Tablet 10 works through two active ingredients:

• Cefixime (100 mg): As a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, cefixime works by inhibiting the formation of bacterial cell walls. It does so by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding protein enzymes critical for creating peptidoglycan, a key component of these walls. This disruption results in the breakdown and death of bacterial cells.

• Ofloxacin (100 mg): Ofloxacin is part of the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics and works by preventing bacteria from replicating their DNA. It binds to and inhibits two crucial bacterial enzymes, namely, DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, that are responsible for coiling and uncoiling bacterial DNA during replication and cell division. Inhibiting these enzymes disrupts these processes, leading to the death of the bacterial cells.

• Store Ceft Ol 100/100 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Protect the medicine from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of your child's reach.

• Ensure you use the tablet before its expiry date.

• If your child is dealing with a respiratory tract infection, ensure a smoke-free environment at home. Second-hand smoke can worsen your child's condition.

• For urinary tract infections, encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. Hydration can help flush bacteria out of the urinary system, managing the infection more effectively.
