Cefexy 100 MG Tablet 10 is used to treat respiratory tract infections like bronchitis and pneumonia, urinary tract infections (UTIs), and infections of the ear, nose, throat, and sinuses. It also treats gonorrhea and typhoid fever, helping to eliminate the bacteria causing these illnesses.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.
• Take this medicine as advised by your doctor, without altering the dose.
• Do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Cefexy 100 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cefexy 100 MG Tablet 10 contains cefixime (100 mg), and it works in the body through the following mechanisms:

• Inhibition of Cell Wall Synthesis: Cefixime blocks the formation of the bacterial cell wall by binding to and deactivating penicillin-binding proteins. These are crucial enzymes in synthesising peptidoglycan, which forms a vital part of the bacterial cell wall.
• Bacteria Destruction: The disruption of cell wall synthesis caused by cefixime weakens and eventually ruptures the bacterial cell. This leads to bacterial cell death, which effectively manages the infection.

1. Store Cefexy 100 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature, preferably below 25°C.
2. Keep it in a tight container, away from dampness and direct light.
3. Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach of children.
4. Check the expiry date and only use the medicine if it's within this date.

• If you have a respiratory tract infection, such as bronchitis or pneumonia, managed by Cefexy 100 MG Tablet 10, try to avoid exposure to smoke. This includes secondhand smoke, as it can irritate your lungs further.
• Increase your water intake in case of urinary tract infections (UTIs) managed by Cefexy 100 MG Tablet 10. Staying well hydrated helps dilute your urine and ensures that you urinate more frequently, flushing bacteria out of your urinary system.
