Camofen 20mg Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of breast cancer

• Prevention of breast cancer in high-risk women

• Management of hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer

• Blocking oestrogen effects on breast tissue

• Treatment of breast cancer in pre-menopausal women

• Management of breast cancer in post-menopausal women

• Reducing the risk of cancer recurrence

• Management of certain infertility issues

Follow these instructions while taking Camofen 20mg Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• You can take it with or without food.

Camofen 20mg Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Camofen 20mg Tablet 10 contains tamoxifen (20 mg), which works on the body in the following ways:

• Anti-oestrogenic action: Tamoxifen competitively binds to oestrogen receptors in breast tissue, preventing natural oestrogen from attaching to these receptors.

• Cancer cell growth inhibition: By blocking oestrogen from binding to receptors, it helps prevent the stimulation and growth of cancer cells that depend on oestrogen for their development.
