Caditam 10 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of oestrogen receptor-positive breast cancer

• Prevention of breast cancer recurrence

• Reducing risk in high-risk individuals

• Managing McCune-Albright syndrome

• Inducing ovulation in women with fertility issues

Follow these instructions while taking Caditam 10 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• Continue taking the medicine for as long as your doctor advises.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about how to take this medicine.

Caditam 10 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Caditam 10 Tablet 10 contains tamoxifen (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Selective Oestrogen Receptor Modulation: Tamoxifen selectively binds to oestrogen receptors in different tissues, working differently depending on the tissue type.

• Oestrogen Antagonist in Breast Tissue: In breast tissue, tamoxifen blocks oestrogen from attaching to receptors, preventing the hormone's growth-promoting effects on cancer cells.

• Growth Inhibition: By blocking oestrogen's action in breast tissue, tamoxifen helps stop the growth and spread of oestrogen-dependent tumour cells.

• Oestrogen Agonist in Other Tissues: Unlike its blocking action in breast tissue, tamoxifen mimics oestrogen's beneficial effects in other areas like the bones, helping maintain bone density.

• Store this tablet at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging in a tightly closed container.

• Protect from light and moisture.

• Store in a dry place away from children's reach.

• Do not use the medicine after its expiry date.

• Calcium-rich foods: Include dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified foods in your diet to help maintain bone health, as tamoxifen may affect bone density in some patients with oestrogen-positive breast cancer.

• Regular exercise: Engage in moderate physical activity like walking or swimming for 30 minutes most days to help reduce fatigue, a common side effect when managing breast cancer with this medicine.
