CompositionBritam 50 Tablet is used to manage partial-onset seizures in adults and adolescents with epilepsy. It is a single-ingredient anticonvulsant medicine containing brivaracetam.
Regular use helps reduce how often seizures occur and how severe they are. Take it with or without food, at a regular time, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can increase the risk of seizures; any dose reduction must be gradual and guided by your doctor.
Keep a regular sleep routine, avoid alcohol and manage stress, as these support seizure control. Take care while driving or operating machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report significant mood changes, unusual behaviour or agitation promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
