Betpure 24 Mg Tablet 10 is used to treat the symptoms of Meniere's disease, including vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and hearing loss. It contains betahistine, which helps improve blood flow in the inner ear and eases the sensation of spinning and imbalance.
Take this tablet as prescribed, with food to reduce the chance of an upset stomach. It is usually taken regularly over a period of time, as Meniere's disease is a long-term condition that benefits from consistent use of the medicine. Continue taking it even if your symptoms improve, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Reducing salt intake may help control fluid balance in the inner ear and support symptom management alongside this medicine. Limiting caffeine and alcohol, and managing stress, can also help reduce how often dizzy spells occur.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, a history of stomach ulcers, or phaeochromocytoma (a rare adrenal gland tumour), as this medicine needs to be used with caution in these conditions. Seek medical advice if you notice a skin rash or persistent stomach discomfort. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
