Betnesol Injection can interact with medications, including:

• Antihypertensives such as ephedrine. The effect of this injection may be reduced by ephedrine.
• Anti-tuberculosis medications such as rifampicin. The effect of this injection may be reduced by rifampicin.
• Anti-epilepsy medications such as carbamazepine and phenytoin. These medications may reduce the effect of this injection.
• Protease inhibitors such as ritonavir. The concomitant use can increase the effect of this injection.
• Pharmacokinetic boosters such as cobicistat. The concomitant use can increase the effect of this injection.
• Barbiturates such as phenobarbitone. The effect of this injection may be reduced by phenobarbitone.
• Antifungals such as itraconazole. The concomitant use can increase the blood concentration of this injection.

Betnesol Injection can interact with diseases, including:

• Severe depression: This injection may cause depression as a rare side effect and worsen the existing condition.
• Diabetes mellitus: Corticosteroids may worsen diabetes mellitus.
• Osteoporosis: This injection may worsen the existing condition.
• Hypertension: This injection may worsen the existing hypertension.
• Glaucoma: This injection may worsen the existing condition.
• Tuberculosis: This injection may impair the ability to resist and counteract infection.
• Psychosis: This injection may worsen the existing condition.
• Epilepsy: This injection may worsen the existing condition.
• Electrolyte imbalance: This injection may alter the electrolyte imbalance.
• Fluid retention: This injection may lead to fluid retention and worsen the condition.
• Hypothyroidism: This injection is not recommended if you have an underactive thyroid gland. It can worsen your condition. 
• Infection: This injection may worsen the existing infection.
• Liver disease: In patients with liver failure, blood levels of this injection may be increased.
• Myasthenia gravis (Muscle weakness): This injection may cause muscle weakness and worsen the condition.
• Peptic ulcers: This injection may develop the peptic ulcer or aggravate it.

Take Betnesol Injection as directed by your doctor. The dosage may vary with the severity of the condition and response to treatment.

Acute overdosage with Betnesol Injection is very unlikely to occur. However, in the case of chronic overdosage or prolonged use, the symptoms of hypercortisolism or Cushing syndrome (excessive level of the hormone cortisol in the body), may appear. During this condition, the injection should be discontinued slowly.

Your doctor will provide the instructions on when to give you this injection. It is unlikely that you will not be given the medicine as it has been prescribed. However, if you think you missed a dose, tell your doctor.
