Betasone N Eye/ear Drops 10ml

Betasone N Eye/ear Drops 10ml is used for:

• Management of steroid-responsive inflammatory eye conditions requiring antibiotics.
• Otitis externa and inflammatory ear disorders with associated bacterial infection risk.
• Post-inflammatory eye or ear conditions where bacterial infection is suspected or confirmed, excluding viral or fungal causes.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before using the drops, and avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
• Tilt your head back for eye use or sideways for ear use, gently pull the lower eyelid down or earlobe as advised, and instil the prescribed number of drops.
• Close the eye gently or keep the ear tilted for a few minutes to allow adequate absorption of the medicine.
• If using multiple ophthalmic preparations, maintain an interval of at least five minutes between applications.
• Do not use for longer than prescribed and discontinue if symptoms worsen or no improvement is seen within the recommended duration.

Betasone N Eye/ear Drops 10ml contains the following active components:

• Betamethasone (0.1%): It is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling, redness, and itching by suppressing inflammatory mediators and immune responses.
• Neomycin (0.5%): It is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, preventing growth and replication of susceptible bacteria.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): It is a preservative with antimicrobial properties that helps maintain sterility of the formulation and prevents contamination during repeated use.
